Services by Progress Akande
n8n and Make.com Workflow Automation Expert
Workflow automation transfers information and triggers actions between the applications your business uses. Progress Akande builds n8n and Make workflows with Zapier, AI APIs and connected data tools for founders, consultants and agencies that need dependable lead capture, synchronized records and follow-up without manually repeating the same work.

The scope
What you get
- An automation map showing triggers, owners and the source of truth
- Lead capture to CRM with validation and duplicate checks
- Follow-up sequences connected to lead status and consent
- Data syncing between apps, Airtable and Google Sheets
- OpenAI or Claude API steps with reviewed inputs and bounded outputs
- API and webhook integrations with documented payloads
- Error handling, monitoring and safe retry behavior
- Debugging of existing workflows and self-hosted n8n readiness review
Reliable automation starts with a source of truth
A form submission is not automatically a clean customer record. Names may be incomplete, addresses may be mistyped and the same person may submit twice. I define validation and matching rules before sending data into another system. Where a workflow updates multiple applications, we decide which record takes precedence rather than allowing competing updates to loop indefinitely.
Lead capture and follow-up need the same care. A sales status change may stop an email sequence, while a failed payment may need staff attention instead of another promotional message. Conditions are written around those distinctions. The goal is a process your team can explain and trust, with fewer hidden assumptions about what an incoming event means.
Complex and AI-heavy workflows need explicit boundaries
n8n and Make can support branching logic, transformations and requests to external APIs. I choose the approach according to the process, available connections and maintenance requirements. Zapier can be suitable for simpler app-to-app tasks. An automation project is not a reason to replace a tool that already performs the required job well.
AI steps using OpenAI or Claude APIs are treated as fallible decisions, not unquestionable facts. We limit the information sent, define an expected output shape and check the result before it changes an important record. Sensitive or ambiguous cases can be routed for review. You approve the task the model performs and the data it is allowed to receive.
Errors should have an owner and a recovery path
API permissions expire, incoming payloads change and applications can reject requests. I build error paths that expose the failed step and retain enough context to investigate without unnecessarily spreading personal data. Retrying a request is only safe when it will not create duplicate charges, records or messages. Stripe events, for example, require deliberate handling of repeated deliveries.
For existing workflows I inspect execution history and reproduce the failure before editing the logic. PostgreSQL queries, Airtable records and Google Sheets rows are checked against the actual data shape. A successful manual test is useful, but the system also needs to handle missing values, unusual inputs and repeat events.
Self-hosted n8n is an operational responsibility
Self-hosting n8n gives a business more control over its environment, but it introduces responsibility for updates, backups, security and availability. We discuss who will own those tasks and whether the team has a suitable operating process. Cloud hosting may be a better fit when maintaining infrastructure would create another burden.
The delivery includes a practical walkthrough of triggers, connections and recovery procedures. Credentials remain under your ownership, with access limited to the project. The scope and quote are agreed before work starts, including any migration or repair work that must happen before new automations can be added.
The Growth Engine
How it works
- 01
Diagnose
We trace a task from its trigger to its final record. I inspect sample data, existing credentials and failed runs to separate a business-process problem from an integration problem.
- 02
Position
We decide what a successful run means and which exceptions need human review. The workflow should serve a defined customer or operational outcome, not simply move data around.
- 03
Build
I implement the transformations, conditions and connections using representative inputs. Each stage is tested separately before the end-to-end path is reviewed with you.
- 04
Automate
I configure monitoring, error paths and documentation so failures are visible. The handover covers credentials, safe reruns and what must be checked when connected applications change.
Tools I use
Who this is for
- Founders connecting lead capture and customer operations
- Consultants repeating research or reporting tasks
- Agencies maintaining multi-step client workflows
- Service businesses syncing information across their existing tools
Client experience
From the client reviews
Akande did an excellent job building our AI Voice and Chat Agents and automating workflows in n8n and Make.com. He integrated Twilio, GoHighLevel and APIs to create scalable systems for lead capture, qualification and follow-up. He is professional reliable and detail oriented and I would highly recommend him.
Service questions
Should I use n8n, Make or Zapier?
Zapier is often a good fit for straightforward app-to-app tasks, Make for visual multi-step logic and n8n for complex or self-hosted workflows. The right choice depends on connections, data handling and who will maintain it. I assess the process before recommending a platform.
Can you debug an automation someone else built?
Yes. I review the execution history, inputs and connected services to reproduce the issue. The agreed scope identifies what will be repaired and how we will test it.
Can n8n be self-hosted?
Yes, n8n can run in a self-hosted environment or through cloud hosting. Self-hosting requires ownership of security, updates and backups. We review those responsibilities before choosing that arrangement.
Can you add AI to an existing workflow?
Yes, where the task benefits from it and the data can be handled appropriately. Inputs, output checks and human escalation are defined first. AI is not inserted into a critical decision without discussing its limitations.
How is an automation project quoted?
Each project is scoped and quoted before work starts. The quote describes the connections, exception handling and handover requirements. A timeline is included based on that scope.
