SEO, AEO and GEO: Get Found on Google and Cited by AI
Progress Akande helps founders and service businesses get found on Google and cited by AI assistants like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot. The work covers technical SEO, crawlability for AI search bots, structured data, expert content and off-site visibility, measured in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

One search strategy, several places to be found
SEO helps search engines discover and understand a site so it can compete in search results. AEO focuses on direct answers, while GEO focuses on citations inside generated responses. These labels describe overlapping goals rather than separate shortcuts. A crawlable page with a clear answer and credible evidence supports all three. I start with the underlying business question instead of rewriting every paragraph around a new acronym.
A founder needs a service page that explains the offer, the working process and the evidence behind it. A search engine needs accessible information and consistent signals about that page. An AI assistant may retrieve and summarize the same information. None of these systems is controlled by the service provider, so the scope describes improvements I can deliver rather than a position I cannot promise.
Remove technical barriers before publishing more
The audit checks whether key content is present in crawlable HTML, whether important pages return the right status and whether canonicals point to the page itself. Robots rules, sitemaps and internal links should agree on the public content you want discovered. AI search crawlers are reviewed separately from model-training crawlers because allowing one does not necessarily mean allowing the other.
Core Web Vitals are reviewed alongside usability. Slow loading, unstable layouts and delayed interaction can make useful content harder to use. The work prioritizes issues that can be reproduced rather than treating one laboratory score as a complete picture of real visitors. Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools access is arranged with you; setup is not claimed complete until the relevant property is verified.
Publish evidence that belongs to your business
The content plan identifies questions you can answer from experience: how you diagnose a problem, what a project involved and which trade-offs mattered. Client permissions and confidentiality come first. A useful explanation can withhold names while remaining specific about the work. Generic tips and unsupported success stories are not substitutes for firsthand detail.
Entity setup keeps your name, business identity and public references consistent. Structured data describes visible content instead of inventing awards, offices or ratings. I do not add self-serving business review stars to search markup. Reviews can still help a visitor evaluate the working relationship when they are presented honestly and quoted accurately.
Earn visibility and measure the right signals
An off-site plan can include useful YouTube explanations, professional LinkedIn contributions and genuine participation in relevant communities. It is not a plan to manufacture mentions or buy a false reputation. The material should give someone a reason to recognize your expertise independently of your own website. Publication and participation responsibilities are agreed with you.
Monthly reporting distinguishes changes made from outcomes observed. Search Console shows search performance; Bing Webmaster Tools provides indexing information and AI reporting where available. Referral analytics can show visits from assistants if analytics are separately configured with an appropriate privacy notice. This website does not claim that those accounts or tracking tools are already connected. Each engagement has its own scope, quote and timeline before work starts.
The Growth Engine
How it works
- 01
Diagnose
I inspect rendered pages, indexing signals, crawl rules and available search reports. We separate technical barriers from gaps in content and evidence before choosing the work.
- 02
Position
We define the services, audience and experience your business can credibly explain. The content direction starts with questions buyers ask and information you can contribute firsthand.
- 03
Build
I repair the agreed technical issues, improve service pages and implement matching entity and structured data. Content is reviewed for factual accuracy and useful answers before publication.
- 04
Automate
We establish a repeatable reporting and content review process. IndexNow can notify participating engines of URL changes, but neither notification nor a sitemap guarantees indexing or citations.

Service questions
Can you guarantee first-page rankings?
No one can honestly guarantee rankings or AI citations. What I can do is remove technical barriers, publish content only you can offer and build genuine visibility, then measure progress in Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
Is GEO different from SEO?
GEO focuses on being cited inside generated answers, while SEO covers discovery and search visibility more broadly. Their foundations overlap: accessible pages, useful content and credible evidence. There is no separate markup that guarantees an AI citation.
Do I need llms.txt to appear in AI answers?
No. It is a proposed content-summary format with uneven adoption, not a requirement for Google Search. I can provide it as a supplementary guide without presenting it as an indexing or ranking signal.
What does IndexNow do?
IndexNow notifies participating search engines when URLs are added, updated or deleted. It does not guarantee crawling, indexing or ranking. A verified key and an agreed notification process are separate from creating the key file.
How is the work scoped and reported?
Every project is scoped and quoted before work starts, with its timeline and required access. Monthly reporting covers agreed search signals and completed actions. External outcomes are measured, not promised.
